Hi, I'm Alex. I capture and mix music for a living, for over 20 years now.

As a mixer, I'm very interested in being the place that you can send your completed production and easily get back a mix that feels transformed as you needed, while still sounding true and natural to your ear.

Having been a musician first, I know exactly how challenging it can be keeping objectivity throughout a production. I try to be that fresh ear that can make wrapping up the song easier on producers and artists... by not changing their work, but simply making it shine.

This page is mainly a place to connect about Remote Mixing for people who have found me from previous work, but of course I also work on start to finish albums, recording or co-producing.

I operate a studio called Sonikwire in Southern California.

Even aside from full projects I'll often contribute Drum Sessions, getting sounds with this unique live room, vintage mic and preamps here to a project that might be overdubbing at a home. Or a Guitar Sessions using my tube amp collection as well as multi-micing and blending approaches to get new sounds. Or a Vocal Session near the end of a project.
